Profile: I graduated from Birmingham University in 1997 with a degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering With Management. I was a student member of the IET whilst at university and became an associate member when I started my IET accredited training programme at Marconi Radar later that year. I have attended a number of lectures over the past year or so and find them interesting, as they provide an insight into various areas of engineering and science. |

Profile: I read Engineering at the University of Cambridge (Christ's College), graduating in 2004. I work for BAE Systems in Chelmsford , who sponsored me through my degree. My current role involves the rapid development of software to allow elements of a radar system to be tested and project risk thereby reduced. I joined the IET in 2000 during my year in industry. I'm now Secretary of the Essex branch Younger Members' Committee, through which I also became involved in SETPOINT Essex. My free time activities include playing badminton and the piano, but not at the same time. |

Profile: I graduated from Brunel University 's Special Engineering Programme in 1998. While at university I was sponsored by 3M. Upon graduating, I became a product development engineer working on driver information and multimedia systems for Visteon, a Ford spin-off. I joined the Ford-supported Wingcast/Signant joint venture in 2001 where I worked on service development for vehicle telematics. In 2002 I moved to Brussels , Belgium and the following year, still in Brussels I joined ERTICO, where I work in the Intelligent Transport Systems domain, coordinating an industry development forum for the Traffic Message Channel technology for getting traffic info into vehicle navigation systems. I am the Publicity Officer for the IET Essex Younger Members. I don't always look as dodgy as in the photograph. |

Profile: After finishing my Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree at Northumbria University , I took a graduate job at Marconi Electronic Systems at Basildon as a Hardware Engineer designing firmware. For the past 2 years I have been part of the procurement department here at Basildon managing the major sub contracts on some of the main projects on site. I also served two years as Honorary Secretary for the IET in Essex . |
